Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on the 9th of August, 1976. She was the oldest of four children. The parents of Audrey Tautou who was both dentists as well as a teacher, understood and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for theater and drama at the age of a stage novice. Their support is more than enough for Audrey to overcome her original goal of becoming a the first primatologist. Her rise to fame as an actor in the young age was rapid and accompanied by early success. The beginning of her career came at the age of 1999 the year she first began performing professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou participated in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou went to church and Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she has since gotten rid of the aforementioned societal influences. As well as her acting profession she started a modelling career. She is also the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. In the past, during the Arles Arts Festival she exhibited an array of photos under the name Superficial. The work she produces is focused on fame and the fame. It also features an assortment of self-portraits as well as a focus on journalists that have closely scrutinized Tautou following her rapid rise in stardom after Amelie. Audrey Tautou's international success and fame soared after her appearance as Amelie Poulain's main woman in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international recognition because of its box-office success. It also received praise at awards ceremonies across the globe. Amelie is the top grossing French language movie in the US. After this huge success, Tautou went on to star in a variety of films, which included British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
