Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp has been an Canadian actress for many years. Her name is well-known due to her roles in the film industry and on television. She's popular in both Canadian as well as American television. When Emily was twelve, she started to get interested in acting after she visited her elder sister Katie at the location of one of her films. She started taking classes in acting, and then auditioning following realizing she had a passion for acting. She began with some commercials however, she was eventually cast as a child actor on the Canadian TV horror series Are You Scared of Darkness? It was the only scene that she didn't speak. At the age 15, she made her breakthrough when she became part of the WB show Glory Days. Although the show was canceled after just nine episodes, Emily's acting attracted the attention of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who enlisted her on his TV show Everwood. Emily can also be a professional dancer also a photographer, and was named one of the top 20 teens' actresses. The Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her at number 51.
