Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was first to achieve a perfect 10 during an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at age six. She would later become the Romanian gymnastics coach. First competing in the junior national championships of Romania in 1969, she was 13th. Then in the year 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. Three gold medals were awarded in her very first contest at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 that was held by the communist bloc nations. In 1973 and 1974 she won the junior all-round champion. In her debut as a Senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champ winning four golds and one argent. She was the first female ever to successfully perform reverse double saltos after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen she began her career in the entertainment field as a performer as a figure skater. Together with her sister Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her journey into the entertainment business during her teenage years. Her first professional gig was figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. The shows featured the ice skating of which was performed to music from the stage.
