Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One child was strapped onto my back while another crawled around in the playground. I stayed up all night days for months sanding and removing wallpaper, with one child. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to take shape, however it wasn't quite finished. The home would require an enormous amount of work and an enthusiasm for shopping. My three sons and me looked for treasures hidden at estate sales to ensure that my spending was under control. It was our weekly routine to walk around garage sales and auctions on the weekend as well as purchase various of pieces old and newly made. My work days were spent at the end of the driveway, painting or sanding. It looked a bit like the following... This is where my obsession with in the process of restoring old furniture got started. The issue was not whether the house was already equipped. There was an area at the local markets in which I sold my pieces. Eventually, my collection grew so large that the room I had available was no longer adequate. The house became a venue where I would host open houses where up to 1,000 people could view the items on my first floor and purchase them. Growing Days was founded in my house. In addition to my thriving company, I also started our family. It was essential to find the right balance to me. I wanted to be both a mom as well as a business owner who was successful. Growing Days seemed like the best fit. It was in 2013 when my lovely daughter Nora was born. She is our fourth child. My business's direction was fantastic, but I needed to take some time off. I decided to take some breaks from my old furniture and slow down to be at home with my children. That was exactly what i wanted. But after a couple of months off the phone started to ring. I was getting calls from people asking for help with the interior decoration and improvements. The majority of them had been to my home during open houses to purchase furniture. It didn't seem long until I managed a large-scale business for home improvement. The first step was to take clients on one with a speed I felt comfortable with. If you'd told me that my business would be the premise for a DIY Network show, I would probably have been astonished. In the present, as I look back on this situation, I find myself laughing.
