Laura Linney has been hailed as one of the most popular actors. Her fame is for playing strong characters that are as at risk. While spending her summers in the home of her father, she developed an interest in the theater. After studying at Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. Following her graduation from Brown University she made making her Broadway debut in the following year. In the space of two years from this, her first feature film was released and the next year her TV debut. In the years since, she's been in numerous films as well as stage and TV productions. Through her entire career, she's won numerous awards. These includes two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. Yet, despite numerous awards the theatre is still her primary passion and she is still appearing on stage and screen.
