Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office For her role, she was awarded the Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by the Ensemble Comedy.
Her birthplace and childhood was in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in the church when she was young that instilled a passion of performing and theater.
Fischer is an actress with theatre training. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway drama Reasons to Be Happy. The Old Globe Theatre's premiere, she starred alongside Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's absurdist comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office's Angela Kinsey (the cast mate of Fischer) as well as her actual best friend Angela Kinsey, who is from The Office, started a podcast in the month of October. It was titled Office Ladies. The show has grown in popularity and has been a part of the Top Ten every single week. In its debut year, the show received more than 200,000,000 downloads. In January 2021, Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
The Actor's Life The Actor's Life is her debut book that details the journey she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as an actress professionally. Her next book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is a memoir of her most beloved friend and their experience working at The Office.
